Star Wars Ram Models These were built because of extreme boredom on several different days.
Take Some Ram (i used some really old stuff that was being used as boxcutters)
Glue 2 pieces into a V shape. The angle doesnt really matter, unless you're a purist. Repeat untill you have 2 V's, the more similar the angles, the better it will look when it's done.
Take another piece of ram and glue the V's to it as shown above.
Here's what it will look like when you're done with this part.
Take 4 USB B side connectors
And glue them into the joints where the wings meet the body. This also helps support the wings.
Now for some firepower. These are actually standoffs from the motherboard assembly for a I-Mac G5. One of my co-workers had some laying around.
Glue them to the wingtips to provide your x-wing with some guns.
Here's the completed X-RamWing, ready for takeoff!!
Take Some Ram (i used some really old stuff that was being used as boxcutters)
Glue it into a Y shape.
Get a serial cable and cut off either head, and take out the screws.
Glue the connector to the bottom part of the Y
Take those screws and glue em to the top of the connector to make the guns
Take some more of those USB B side connectors
And glue them to the forked part of the Y.
Now to embellish a bit. This part is optional. Take some usb cable
And string it so it looks like the engines are connected to the cockpit.
Take some laptop ram (because the tie fighters are so small)
and glue it into a kind of open C. These will be the wings, so do this twice
Take a couple more pieces and join them together as shown
and glue them to the wings. This is the hardest part of the project.
There ya have it, a the Tie RamVanced. |
